Scrambled eggs

Scrambled eggs are a dish made by whisking eggs and cooking them in a pan. These eggs are often seasoned with pepper and salt. They can be served plain or coupled with vegetables or cheese. It depends solely on you and your preferences. 


There are probably many scrambled egg recipes out there. Many of them. But in this article, I am going to teach you my very special way of making them, so they come out perfect as ever. Scrambled eggs give our bodies the needed protein to help repair worn-out tissues. But is also advisable to note that, it should be taken in moderation because of the high cholesterol and calories present in it.  ( scrambled egg(50g) contains approximately 90 calories and 186 milligrams of cholesterol). With all that being said let's dive right in.

Ingredients:

  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 tablespoon milk
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • 1 tablespoon butter or cooking oil
  • Chopped fresh herbs or grated cheese (optional, for garnish)


Instructions

  • In a bowl, whisk together the eggs, milk, salt, and pepper until well combined 
  • Heat a nonstick pan over medium-low heat and add the butter or cooking oil, swirling to coat the pan evenly.
  • Pour the egg mixture into the pan and let it cook for a few seconds until the edges start to set.
  • Using a spatula, gently push the cooked edges to the centerfire of the pan and let the uncooked eggs flow to the edges. 
  • Repeat this process until the eggs are mostly set but still slightly runny.
  • Reduce the heat to low and continue stirring the eggs gently until they are cooked to your desired level of doneness.
  • Remove from heat and garnish with chopped fresh herbs or grated cheese, if desired.
  • Serve hot. Enjoy!!
