Ginger tea is non alcoholic , non caffeinated and has no calories (unless you add a sweetener) ,no fat, no significant amount of protein. Based on the sweetener added ginger tea contains 4- 5 grams of carbohydrate.


Ginger tea is ginger, fresh and easy to make.l love to make ginger tea more often.In this article, I am going to walk you through a super simple method for preparing ginger tea. Let's dive in.


How to prepare fresh ginger tea

Ingredients 

Fresh ginger -1 to 1.5 inches

Sweetener(honey or sugar) -1 tablespoon



Equipments

  • Saucepan with lid
  • Strainer
  • Spoon
  • Tea cup

Procedure 

  • Wash 1 or 1.5 inches of ginger to remove any dirt.

  • Peel and grate ginger(you can choose to cut ginger into small pieces )

  • Bring one cup(240 ml) of water to a boil 

  • Add grated or cut ginger to the water 

  • Cover and simmer for about 7- 12 minutes.

  • Remove from fire and strain to remove the ginger 

  • Pour into a mug or tea cup 

  • Add one tablespoon of preferred sweetener(sugar or Honey)
