What is Ginger tea?
Ginger tea is a concoction of hot water and crushed ginger.Ginger tea is beneficial to you because it aids in digestion, can reduce nausea, and soothe an upset stomach. Ginger tea is non alcoholic , non caffeinated and has no calories (unless you add a sweetener) ,no fat, no significant amount of protein. Based on the sweetener added ginger tea contains 4- 5 grams of carbohydrate.

How to prepare fresh ginger tea
Ingredients
Fresh ginger -1 to 1.5 inches
Sweetener(honey or sugar) -1 tablespoon
Equipments
- Saucepan with lid
- Strainer
- Spoon
- Tea cup
Procedure
- Wash 1 or 1.5 inches of ginger to remove any dirt.
- Peel and grate ginger(you can choose to cut ginger into small pieces )
- Bring one cup(240 ml) of water to a boil
- Add grated or cut ginger to the water
- Cover and simmer for about 7- 12 minutes.
- Remove from fire and strain to remove the ginger
- Pour into a mug or tea cup
- Add one tablespoon of preferred sweetener(sugar or Honey)
