Sobolo drink



Sobolo drink also known as hibiscus tea is a popular Ghanaian drink and people absolutely love it.Including myself. What is more relaxing and refreshing than a chilled sobolo drink on a hot sunny day or on any other day? Have you been wanting to prepare sobolo but don't know how? In this article, I am going to teach you step by step how to make this refreshing drink with just two ingredients. Without much I do and let's get into it.

How to prepare sobolo drink with only two ingredients 

Ingredients 

  • Dried hibiscus petals 

  • Sweetener( sugar or honey)

Procedure 

  • Pour water in a pot and bring to a boil 

  • Add in your dried hibiscus petals and allow to simmer for 10 minutes.

  • After 10 minutes, remove form heat and allow to cool 

  • Strain the liquid with a strainer to remove the hibiscus petals.

  • Add sweetener( sugar or honey)

  • Bottle your sobolo drink 

  • Place in the refrigerator until chilled or frozen 

  • Enjoy!!
