Egg stew


Compared to the regular stew, egg stew is similarly easy to make. The only difference here is the presence of the egg in the stew. Egg stew tastes great and can be eaten with Banku, rice or any accompaniment you want. In this article, you will discover a simple method to make the best egg stew at home. Let's dive in.

Ingredients 

  • Tomatoes (4 medium sized )

  • Onion (1 large onion)

  • Pepper (2-3 adjust according to spices preference)

  • Ginger optional)

  • Garlic (optional)

  • Spices(curry powder, onga stew or onga cube, Bay leaves,)

  • Eggs (4 large eggs)

  • Vegetable or red oil (3-4 tablespoons)


Procedure 

  • Wash vegetables thoroughly 

  •  Cut tomatoes and onion into pieces and place int clean blender, add pepper to it.

  • Add washed and chop garlic and ginger into pieces.

  • Add a measurable amount of water and blender until smooth.

  • Set a pan on the fire and pour a measurable amount of oil into it 

  • Cut onions into the oil and it a stir 

  • After some time, add tomato paste into the oil and give it a thorough stir

  • Add curry powder, onga stew or onga cube, Bay leaves into the stew and allow to simmer.

  • Break eggs into a bowl, add salt and pour into the stew.

  • Do not stir the stew right away after pouring the egg into it. Wait for at least 5 minutes before you stir to give time for the egg to cook and spread in the stew.

  • Stir after 5 to 10 minutes. You and chose to add fish to the stew if you want.

  • Enjoy with preferred accompaniment
