Groundnut (Peanut )cake also known as nkatie cake in Ghana.A sweet snack loved and eaten by people of all ages (Young or Old) compared to regular candynkatie cake equally sweet. Today you will learn how to make peanut cake super easily.Let's dive in.
Ingredients
- Sugar
- Water
- Groundnut

Procedure
- pour un roasted groundnuts into a bowl and remove all spoilt ones
- place a pan on the fire and roast ground nuts until brown.Do not let ground nuts burn by stiring consistently.
- Remove groundnuts from fire when ready and allow to cool
- When groundnut is cooled, remove the skin of the ground nuts by rubbing them between your fingers
NB: You can ignore the three steps if you already have roasted groundnuts avaliable.
- After removing the skin of the groundnuts, pound or grind until smooth
- Place a pan on the fire and add sugar to it . Allow sugar to melt under low heat.
- When sugar melts, pour pounded groundnut into it and stir .Add a little water to prevent hardening.
- Find a flat surface, moisturize the surface with oil and pour mixture of groundnut and sugar (nkatie cake )onto it .roll with a roller or glass bottle.
NB:Cutting should be down fast to prevent hardening.
- Cut into desired shap
